PENNYWEIGHT PARATROOPER ! STEP 2: MAKING THE PARATROOPER!
A) Place 5 x 2 inch cardboard flat on table so that the long edges are the sides and the
short edges are the top and bottom. Using pencil, draw shape of paratrooper onto
cardboard so that hands are at top edge and feet are at bottom edge. The paratrooper
should be drawn in the basic form of an “H” with his arms extended over his head and
legs extending straight down.
B) Cut out paratrooper and slightly bend his arms, legs, neck and waist just enough to
suggest “hands”, “elbows”, “knees”, “feet”, etc. to add some realism to his flat form.
Draw in and/or color any details you wish like face, uniform, parachute harness, etc. C) Using pencil point or scissors point, carefully poke a small hole in the center of each
hand of the paratrooper.
