It seems from the Ad art, that this set was made from MPC brand "Ringhand" style GI Army Men which were recolored into several brighter colors and armed with gold-colored Space Accessories like Helmets, Ray Guns, Flight Packs, etc. All original accessories are shown above. These figures/accessories are from the MPC Spacemen line which is believed to be what the Astroforce Set and also the Missile Attack Set used.

If anyone has any more information about the Astroforce Set, please get in touch. This web site would like to obtain details about the original packaging/box this Set came in as well as better photos/images of the complete Set.

As seen in the Ad, the Set was evidently sold by a nameless P.O. Box mail-order company with an address of "SPACE ARMIES", P.O. Box 397, Rockville Centre, NY.

We have been told that the Astroforce Ad can be found in a comic book called Giant Batman, issue No. 223, dated July-Aug 1970.

We are not sure what other years the set was available, so if anyone has seen it from a different year, please get in touch.
