COMIC BOOK FLATS
KINGS KNIGHTS !

comicbookflatsKingsKnightsInBattle.jpg

The 104 Kings Knights Set came with a Black Army and a White Army. Both shared identical molds.

Notice the detailed sculpting. Despite being flats, each figure has a distinctive and realistic left side and right side.

As seen in the Battle Images above, most Kings Knights Sets found these days come with several broken figures - missing limbs, heads, weapons, etc. These can come in handy as "Battlefield Casualties" and should never be tossed out just because they are not in mint condition.

The Kings Knights, like many old Comic Book Flats, are also often found with decades-old dirt, from long-forgotten backyard battles, still clinging to their armor. Unless it's so heavy it obscures the sculpting details, I always leave any battle-earned dirt on the figures as found - it certainly adds some realism to them, and it does in fact prove that these Knights are true battle-hardened combat veterans who once belonged to some lucky young General.

In the image below, each type of figure from the Kings Knights Set is shown.

Top Row: Footsoldier (with Sword & Shield), Footsoldier (with Mace & Side Sword), Footsoldier (with Long Bow.)

Second Row: King on Horseback (with Sword), Knight on Horseback (with Banner.)

Third Row: Knight on Horseback (with Battle Axe), Knight in Armor on Horseback (with Pike.)

Bottom Row: Insert images of original Kings Knights "Treasure Chest Case" box, Bugler (afoot.)

Not Shown: Black Knights' Bugler (afoot.)
