Contrary to popular belief, most toy balloons are actually BIODEGRADABLE - in fact,
studies have shown that since they are made from latex, a natural rubber product taken
from trees, they degrade in the environment about as fast as a typical oak tree leaf. The
Mission Paper is of course biodegradable. And if you are sure to use a light-gauge (not thick) cotton thread or natural fiber string for your Shroud Lines, then they will be biodegradable too. Keep your Shroud Lines short because this will prevent animals from getting tangled in them until the Shroud Lines biodegrade naturally. **Cheap sewing thread is the best material for Shroud Lines because virtually any animal worth his salt could simply break a short thin piece of natural thread! Only the Army Man Balloon Trooper himself is not
biodegradable, which is a good thing, since a big part of his Mission depends on being
found by some lucky person someday!
