Last Name
A person's last name (e.g., Smith).
Options for the match type for Last Name to be used during the search are shown as a pull-down menu. Click the pull-down menu on the form to make your choice from the following:
- Same As: find listings with Last Name value exactly
as entered (this is the default match type for Last Name)
"Smith" will find no listings for
either "Smit" or "Smythe"
- Begins With: find listings with Last Name value that
begins with characters entered
"Smit" will find listings for "Smit" , "Smith",and "Smithby"
- Sounds Like: find listings with Last Name value
beginning with the same first letter as, and sounding similar to, the
Last Name value entered
"Smith" will find listings for "Smit", "Smithby", and "Smythe"
First Name
A person's first name (e.g.,Mary or Robert).
Options for the match type for First Name to be used during the search are shown as a pull-down menu.Click the pull-down menu on the form to make your choice from the following:
- Same As: find listings with First Name value exactly
as entered
"Robert" will find no listings for
either "R" or "Rob"
- Begins With: find listings with First Name value that
begins with the characters entered (this is the default match type for
First Name)
"R" will find listings for "R", "R C", "Rob", and "Robert"
"Rob" will find listings for "Rob" and "Robert", but not for "R"
State
The two letter state abbreviation should be entered into this box.An index of the abbreviations is available under the abbreviations label.
