The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a non-profit, Masonic youth organization for girls ages 11-20. The mission of Rainbow is to provide all young women with a place to grow, a place to have fun, and a place to make a difference. It promotes leadership development, character building skills, public speaking opportunities, and fraternity by performing community service and conducting fundraisers for charity programs.

The order was founded in 1922 by Rev. William Mark Sexson in McAlester, Oklahoma, and as of 2005, young women in 46 states and 8 foreign countries have embraced its teachings. Although the teachings of Rainbow have Christian origins, no specific religion is followed. Rainbow is accepting of all religions, as long as members have a belief in a Supreme Being. It is not a religion, cult or secret order, nor is it connected with any other group using "rainbow" in their name or logo.

Rainbow is sponsored by Masonic Lodges, the Order of Eastern Star Chapters, the Order of the Amaranth Courts, and the Shrines of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
