Howlin' Dog Recording HDR pg. 2
Description
Howlin' Dog Recording is a primarily digital
recording studio owned and operated by Don Richmond and located at 218 1/2 Alamosa Ave. in
Alamosa Colorado. The main multi-track recording platform is
Emagic Logic Pro software
running on a dual-processor Mac G-5, using the German-made RME 192 mHz capable
audio interface (see equipment list below). The studio also has 4 Alesis ADAT
recorders (total 32 tracks) and a Tascam 38 1/2" 8-track recorder. The studio is located in a small old adobe house which gives it good acoustical
properties, good isolation, and a comfortable, low-pressure vibe. The facility has two
performance rooms, a control room, and an isolation booth. It is suited for recording acts
ranging from solo artists up to five piece groups (more
if you're really good friends). Remote recording is available for
larger ensembles.
