Don Richmond - No Man's Land
It's here - it's out, it's done!
No Man's Land is
Don's first new singer-songwriter CD since A Lot in Common came out in 1995. (His
instrumental CD Instrument was released in 1999.) From Don -
"No Man's Land is centered around a group of songs that are sort of 'landscape'
songs - songs that talk about things inspired by the land, particularly my home in the San
Luis Valley. In the song No Man's Land, it is specifically the landscape around the
Colorado - New Mexico border, some of the most outwardly barren and forbidding land
around. It has a particular draw and fascination for me, and evokes a strong feeling of
ancient history and timelessness."

Hired Hands - Hands of Time
The new (June 2001) CD from Hired Hands is
a far-ranging and fairly adventurous collection of material indicative of Hired Hands'
wide breadth of influences and depth of repertoire. As in the other HH CDs, there are
strikingly beautiful and moving ballads and waltzes, haunting minor key moody pieces,
hot-pickin' numbers, and great two-stepping songs as well.
Songs:
Burning up the Night, Deeper Well, Me and the
Eagle, Mother Nature's Son, Old Girl, She Just Wants to Dance, Bitter Creek Blue Northern,
Keeping Time, Her Spirit Moves Me, Suicide at the Wishing Well, Hands of Time

Burning Joan - Remember
Burning Joan's new CD (December 2001) is a strikingly beautiful work featuring
the moving and powerful original songs of Kim Treiber and Kirsten Parsons. Joining Kim and
Kirsten are Chipper Thompson, Don Richmond, Jimmy Stadler, Creed de Avanzar, and Dale
Smith. The music ranges from Kim and Kirten's pure accapella on Prayer through
mellow folk on Lie Fallow and My Life to full on rock and roll on Thousand
Cries.

Don
Richmond - Instrument
This newest release from Don is a bit of a departure from his
earlier singer-songwriter style releases in that Instrument is completely
instrumental. It is a collection of all original acoustic tunes displaying Dons
expertise on guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, Weissenborn slide, and banjeaurine. Many of
the songs are in a traditional fiddle tune structure, although there are a few departures
into alternate forms and time signatures, as well as some beautiful slow tunes. Its
fun stuff - great traveling music.
