Scoop or Rumor

How the "Elvis at the Drive-in"  Rumor was born:

"Look," the tiny blonde whispered to her teen-age escort,  "Isn't  that  Elvis  Presley in  the  next car?"
  [ Reluctantly he took his arm from around her waist and leaned behind her to look out the window.  Certainly parked next to them was the fanciest limousine he'd ever seen and, in the depths of its front seat, a sideburned guy was happily ignoring the movie to concentrate on his girl. ]
  "Could be," the boy whispered.    And thus the rumor,   "Elvis Presley  goes to the drive-in movies",  was born.
