Chapter 7: Linear Momentum
This unit deals with the quantity of motion that a single object has and how the total quantity of motion that a system has can be conserved.
 
         The quantity of motion is more than just velocity !
We will also see how motion is be transferred between objects during collisions. Some collisions conserve kinetic energy and some do not. However, ALL collisions conserve the quantity of motion.
There are some interactive Physics simulations at the Visual Physics Index, and more applets dealing with Physics concepts can be found at Interactive Physics and Math with Java. You might also try the Treasure Trove it's a virtual encyclopedia !!!
