The Wedding Party... From left to right:

Sandy, my daughter: Matron of Honor;

David, my son, walked the bride down the aisle;

The Bride - Linda

The Groom - Vern

Kim, Vern's daughter, lit the candles;

Billy, Vern's Brother was Best Man.

Bridal BoquetUnity Candle Flowers

I loved my flowers... my bouquet and the arrangements were perfect.

Harpist

I really, really wanted a harpist to play at our wedding.

It was beautiful...

(until she played the wrong song for me to walk down the aisle).

The Bride and Groom...

Reciting Vows (me fighting back tears
at the moving words; Vern being tender).

Lighting the Unity Candle...

This was important to us.

The Wedding Cake

The Wedding Cake -- I thought it was beautiful!

And it was delicious, too!

I loved the Angels and Flowers on the Cake.

We did it nicely.

Those Tobasco Ties

Those silly brothers snuck those Tobasco Ties
past me until it was too late to say anything.

Everyone thought they were cute, and it did
add a humorous touch to the occasion.
Still, had I known before the ceremony.....

Actually, when those two get together, watch out!

Napkin with Promise

Our vows were for forever and all eternity...

And the couple lived happily ever after!

It was important to us that we have a church wedding and include all of our family and friends. We wanted to share the celebration and the happiness, and we wanted our children to have a part in the service. For the actual service, we adapted the wedding ceremony from "Illluminata", a beautiful book on spirituality written by MaryAnn Williamson. The words expressed how we felt about our marriage. I would recommend it to couples who have shared the experience of a loss and who have grown in love together and cherish each other in a way that only people who found each other later in life could understand.
