I set my large Dept. 56 village display up on my dining
room table each year. It is 72 x 50". I have Christmas in
the City buildings, a New England Village seaport and a woods area
with the Rock Creek Mill, the Ice Factory and the Snow Village airport.
All the buildings are from Dept 56, except for two Coca Cola Town Square buildings, Mooneys
Antique Barn (one of my favorite barns) and the Coke Club Members only building, the
bottling plant. New for 1999 is the addition of the
large Times Tower building with the moving New Years ball on top that drops just like
the real thing!
New England Village buildings make a small nautical scene. I use only buildings with a "fish" theme in this part
of the display.
Here is another view of the display on the dining room
table, showing the animated auto track around the city with
Camden Park fountain on the left and restaurant row.
The North Pole village on shelves in my kitchen.
This portion of the North Pole shows Ginnys Cookie Treats, 2004 Gumdrop factory, Rock Candy Mine giftset in the background and the Coca Cola animated sledding hill.
My Snow Village display on the dining room table.
More Snow Village including Elvis' Graceland, the limited edition Ronald McDonald House and more.
Here is the State Farm Insurance building that was made by Dept. 56 for State Farm agents
and employees in a very limited number. It fits in very
well with Christmas in the City. This is one of the nicest
Dept. 56 buildings. The detail is incredible.
Another shelf in my kitchen is for the Christmas gas
station and diner display. Shown are the Coca Cola Town Square
Joes Diner, the Coca Cola Flying A Service Station on the left
and another gas station on the right.
