Friends of the Fuzzbombs Zeke the Rat
A very thoughtful package from Jaida and her pet rat Zeke in Kenai, Alaska arrived in the mail on June 8th, helping prevent what was then a very likely disaster for my Five Furry Fuzzbombs and Eight Slimey Aquatic Thingies.

The well-decorated box (something the postman probably loathed) contained various items: rat food & treats, two types of fish food, and enough money to buy a bag of food & some bedding.
Jaida, I will be sure to put this in Zeke's honor; and after reading your very beautiful letter, it's the least I can do in return.

I also know what TODAY (Friday, June 11) means to you. I'm very sorry that Zeke had to pass on to the Rainbow Bridge.
Please feel free to write me anytime about Zeke, and if you have any, you are welcome to send computer pictures of him (in any format) for the Memorial pages of this site.

Another small package arrived from the Rose City today (June 11), courtesy of Sarah R. and her rats.
It contained more fish food (boy are THESE going to be some very happy fish!) and enough money to finish supplying my animals for the remainder of this month.

Thank you Sarah AND Jaida. The world needs more people like you - more people who actually CARE and are willing to help out in their own way.

Two more people have come forward with donations of pet supplies and a small amount of additional cash. Call these "anonymous benefactors" but please remember their contributions mean as much as those shown above.
Thank you!! From the Five Furry Fuzzbombs, and all those wierd things inside of that big glass water-filled box.

Rat food, littter, and fish food were the items purchased with these donations. The fish have food enough for close to a full year now, and the rat's needs have been met for the forseeable future.

IN MEMORY OF ZEKE THE RAT... MAY HIS JOURNEY OVER THE RAINBOW BRIDGE BE PLEASANT.

In July, just after a major weather-related disaster, E.M. sent $40 (if I remember correctly!) to help with household expenses. $20 of it was used to repair the lightning-damaged computer, the rest was used to buy more pet food and other pet supplies.

In late summer, Caleb's Mom sent some help along to the Fuzzbombs as well, and everybody here thanks you for that. Lots of food & fresh new litter made for some very happy rats.

And as autumn arrived and blew its rain & leaves into the Fuzzbomb's cages, J.C. from Colorado came through with some much-needed batteries for my motorized wheelchair!
In months leading up to this, the batteries in my chair had become so weak I could no longer get to the foodbank, and lost nearly 40 pounds as a result of having no access to food.

Since the foodbank supplies 98% to 100% of my entire food supply in any given month, it's revolting that I very nearly starved to death in what should be one of the world's most prosperous countries.
Thanks to this very generous new friend, I can once again get to the foodbank and have enough to eat at least some of the time.
