WHAT TO THINK ABOUT BEFORE BEGINNING
Many artists strive for serendipity in their painting. But there is more thought behind the work than first appears. It is a kind of premeditated randomness.
One example of such an artist is an artist by the name of Sam Francis. His work entitled "Yunan State IV" looks like bursting bubbles
STEP 2
Place your paper on top of the newspaper and dip the bubble maker into the bubble liquid. Lean over the paper and blow.
Try several different colors.
STEP 3
When you have enough bubble design on your paper, place a dry piece of newspaper on it and blot the excess. Let the paper dry.
STEP 4
You can use markers to draw in and around the shapes you see.
Add detail and color to your objects.
RESOURCES
Look at work by Jackson Pollock to see how another artist has used "premediated randomness" in his work.
