Horse Behavior

Horses have personalities as varied as those of dogs, or people. Their interactions are based on personality, complex social hierarchy, survival instincts, and environmental pressures. Biologists can tell us a lot about horse behavior, but personal observation often shows us aspects not found in the textbooks. While researching Hoofprints In the Sand, I witnessed many equine dramas, some ordinary and others quite surprising.
