Head to the Kansas City (Missouri) City Market in the River Market area.

- Kansas City Museum's
exhibits feature artifacts and audio/visual shows about the region
from the time of the Osage Indians to the opening of the Hannibal
Bridge in 1869.
Separate admission fees for museum, Planetarium, and Challenger
Learning Center.
- The Kansas City Symphony
offers classical, pops, and family concert series.
- Kansas City Zoo.
Be warned that our zoo is very large. Plan on spending a full day
and doing a *lot* of walking.

- Nelson-Atkins Museum of
Art. Located near Country Club Plaza,
the museum is known for it's collection of Asian art, especially the
arts of China. Admission is free on Saturdays.
- Verizon Wireless
Amphitheater (formerly Sandstone Amphitheater)
has a variety of concerts during the summer.
Located in Kansas, 3 miles west of I-435 on I-70.
- Starlight Theater
is an outdoor theater presenting concerts and Broadway-style musicals
during the summer.
Near the Kansas City Zoo.
- Sierra Club. Whether your interest is outdoor excursions
or the environment, the

Group of the Missouri Ozark Chapter or the
Kansas Chapter
of the Sierra Club may interest you.
- Toy and Miniature Museum of
Kansas City. Located on the campus of the University of
Missouri, Kansas City.
- Union Station and
Science City.
Union Station was an important link in cross-continental travel
during the glory days of rail traffic. Now it is the home of
Science City.
Exhibits and activities for the entire family.
- Worlds of Fun
amusement park.
The MAMBA roller coaster is one of the largest and fastest in the
world.
