Not Big Brother
All the headlines have to
say is that our boys have died.
And we'd better tighten up
our belts and save the Nation's pride.
Politicians always find a
way creatin' enemies.
They always pick another
fight and tell us it ain't free.
Did you ever hear that women
who do their work at night
Are practicin' the oldest
trade? Well folks that just ain't right.
Politics has always been
the world's most senior trade.
Pimps and politicians take
the money we have made.
Profit is efficiency and
we all work to produce,
But when it's time to divvy
up, there's always some excuse.
The rich man says the pie
is his, the working man gets none,
And when the working man
protests, the rich man has Reagan.
For now he is the President,
Big Brother's not his name,
But rich and poor at last
agree, his attitude's the same.
The rich man likes the way
he always saves him from a tax,
And sends the poor man to
the front, to wars that break our backs.
The poor man sees a President
who doesn't give a damn,
Unless some rich Republican
invents a brand new Scam!
And the corporation lobbyists
contribute to the cause.
Poor men pay the taxes. Rich
men write the laws.
