Freedom Is Slavery II
I heard it said that Freedom’s
just like nothin’ left to lose.
You’re free to say most anything.
You win. You lose.
You choose.
Freedom is the fiber, it’s
the soul of worn out shoes.
Freedom is the feeling.
It’s all we have to use.
When a true man says a true
thing, another says, “He’s wrong.”
The conflict seems eternal.
Truth is always strong.
Freedom is a job to do. The
work that makes us soar.
Freedom is a good idea.
It’s ours for evermore.
It’s Freedom when we feel
one love, and freely let it show.
Practice Freedom every day.
People come and go.
It seems that some things
never change, and others always do.
Surprise, another morning.
It’s never something new.
It’s Freedom when we’ve had
enough of who we’ve been for years.
We move along and show we’re
strong,
It takes blood, sweat, and
tears.
We’re free to choose the
channel when we’re watchin’ our T.V.
We’re free to drive the family
car, it’s gasoline ain’t free.
It’s Freedom when a bully
decides to make amends.
He sees he’s strong and able.
He starts to makin’ friends.
Freedom is a former slave
who stands up to a Man.
He laughs, he sets the bully
free, just because he can.
We never sense our Freedom
until we take a break.
Then Freedom’s told us what
to do and which road we must take.
It’s not as if we’re Free
at all. There’s something we must choose.
Freedom is the something.
It’s nothing we can lose.
