On 9/12 USA Today reported that aircraft carrier USS George Washington was anchored off Long Island on 9/11.
In addition to the aircraft carrier USS George Washington standing watch off Long Island and the carrier USS John F. Kennedy at an undisclosed location further off the East Coast, the Navy was moving several cruisers and destroyers out of port in Norfolk, Va., headquarters for the Atlantic Fleet.

However, they missed the HISTORY OF DEPLOYMENTS or lack
thereof of the aircraft carrier George Washington.
The citation above noted that the GW was in a six-month scheduled repair and maintenance period ending July,2001. However, in the HISTORY OF DEPLOYMENTS below, there was actually an UPGRADE PROGRAM. As A3 Skywarrior drones, a carrier capable aircraft, were probably the weapon of choice at the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania, it stands to reason the standard catapult system for F-14 and F-18 aircraft would have to be rebuilt and strengthened for A3 launches.
Nimitz-class aircraft carriers have four steam-powered catapults which launch aircraft from the flight deck of the carrier. These catapults can thrust a 48,000-pound aircraft 300 feet, from zero to 165 miles per hour in two seconds.

The Norfolk, Va.-based aircraft carrier is patrolling the coastline off New York City, providing air defenses for the city while waiting for additional tasking from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
NORAD was a big player in 9/11 (with the US Navy and the CIA) being involved in air defense and aircraft carrier positioning.

This photo of the USS George Washington flight deck on a typical deployment shows a mass of aircraft. However, the prior 2001 photos showed relatively few fighter aircraft aboard indicating no plans to defend America but only participate in the mass murder of American citizens.
The LARGE 9/11 HOLE in the HISTORY OF DEPLOYMENTS outlined in orange is good circumstantial evidence that the GW was the BASE OF OPERATIONS for two A3 Skywarriors, the South Tower helicopter, and the White Jet seen in all 9/11 locations on video or by witnesses.

The White Jet served as 'Show director' using remote control to guide a substitute Boeing 737 drone, not the alleged Flight AA11 Boeing 767, into the North Tower. At the South Tower a military helicopter tried to hide in the smoke plume as it made the final remote control guidance of that Boeing 737 drone. Previously the White Jet guided the South Tower drone to Manhattan Island and handed off final remotecontrol to the helicopter. As a safety measure the White Jet made a flyby at the South Tower just in case the drone missed it, the drone could have been taken around for another attempt. A similar method was used at the Pentagon with another helicopter guiding a A3 Skywarrior into the Pentagon.

This photo shows the White Jet flying by as it ignites the North Tower demolition by remote control at 10:25 and heads to the USS George Washington. It used the smoke plume to get over the North Tower but then the camera caught it again, three times in NYC! All aircraft except military aircraft were grounded by 9:15 so clearly this is a military aircraft:
