Round the Bend is very proud of terriers owned by Kay Sadowsky and Kate Douglas that participate in the fast and demanding sport of Flyball. Four dogs run relays over a 102 foot track with four jumps . The shortest dog on the team determines the jump height for the team and the height dog is usually a Jack Russell. Each dog runs the length of the track, takes the four jumps in it’s path to spring and catch a tennis ball from a box before returning with said ball to the starting line for the next dog to run. Round the Bend Dart (Kay Sadowsky), Round the Bend Pearl (Kate Douglas), and Round the bend Henry Brooks (Kate Douglas) are members of the Fetch’n Fly  Flyball team and travel throughout the northeast and Canada to compete in this exciting sport. Not only are the teams competing for placements in the tournaments, but individual dogs earn titles as they accumulate points for running their races/heats.

Dart with over 10,000 points has earned his FMX (Flyball Master Excellent) title. Pearl with over 5,000 points has her FM (Flyball Master) title,

and youngster -

Henry Brooks with over 1,000 points has his FDCh-S (Flyball Dog Champion– Silver title.

Round the Bend Terriers Excel in Flyball !

Round the Bend Dart sets the pace!

Round the Bend is a small, privately owned facility dedicated to the Jack Russell Terrier breed. Established in 1985, the breeding program and general philosophy has been to “preserve and Protect” these special terriers.

The main goal at Round the Bend is to produce healthy Jack Russells of superior temperament and correct conformation, that will be a credit to their breed as family companions and performance dogs. Round the Bend Terriers continue to excel in the hunt field as game working terriers, in the show arena as competitive performance terriers, and within a family as loyal and loving companions.

Fundamentally, Round the Bend is not in favor of kennel club recognition for the Jack Russell Terrier, but is still well informed and knowledgeable about policies, procedures and philosophies of all organizations that recognize the Jack Russell.
