This is the story of Georgia's B-29, "Sweet Eloise" or better known as serial number 44-70113.

This is also the plane that started my entire web site. When my father-in-law, Jim Reifenschneider, came to the dedication of the plane in 1997, I saw how much this plane and WWII meant to him and I started a 2-page dedication web site. As you can see it has grown to over 800 pages with stories from men and women from all bomb groups and both WWII and the Korean War.

This plane now resides at Dobbins AFB in Marietta, GA (then the Bell Aircraft Plant).

As you can see by the table of contents this is a well thought out book. I think all will enjoy this book not only members of the 73rd Bomb Wing. It is full of great illustrations (both color and black and white) including:, newspaper clips, combat records, photos, crew photos, diaries, leaflets and letters. Dr. Inglis has put together a very interesting read about this plane, her history and the Marietta bomber plant.

You can order this book directly from Dr. Pete Inglis for $23 (including shipping and handling) : Sweet Eloise, PO Box 3292, Marietta, GA 30061-3292, or email Pete directly at Ringlis915@aol.com
