The Art of Mahlon Blaine

This book, published in 1982 by Peregrine Press, contains over 100 pages of information and artwork. Several previously unpublished examples of Blaine's various styles, techniques and subjects are included. This is the only comprehensive collection of artwork published to date, and presents a good overview of the man and his work. Gershon Legman contributed a lengthy personal piece recalling his friendship with Mahlon, and an updated bibliography by Roland Trenary is helpful to those interested in Blaine's published output.

The limited edition hardcover (signed and including an extra plate) quickly went out of print, and the 8 1/2 by 11 inch softcover was not widely distributed. A few copies of this softcover edition are still available from the bibliographer. Please inquire, if interested.
