After reading The Orb Project I decided to follow the suggestions of the authors regarding the best way to take digital photographs of Spirit Emanations (orbs).
I checked my camera's ability to manage infrared with my TV remote and reset my camera to a higher resolution.
After downloading I then only increased the gamma (equally RGB at 2.29); decreased the contrast (-20) and left the brightness at zero.
The photographs below are what I feel were the best of 150+/- pictures taken on December 10, 2007 between the hours of 5:40 PM and 7:30 PM.
The evening was very calm, no wind or breeze. Nothing was in bloom, no recent rain, moon-dark and no animals dashing through the forest. Basically, the conditions were ideal.
As expected everything began rather calmly then peaked around 5 minutes to 6. It then calmed a bit and the last picture I took, pointing straight up, was stunning. You will see various colors and sizes of SE's. Some of which I understand, from The Orb Project, as being Spirit Beings/Emanations as well as Nature Spirits.
I have placed them in sequence from beginning to end. Some in particular show movement - a SE dashing near our pet cemetery (photo #704) and what appears to be the making of a very rarely photographed "rocket" orb in its early stages - located in the far upper right corner of picture #692..
