The Big "D" -- quite a city! This is part of their skyline -- many really interesting skyscrapers, and a very alive city.
One of the many sculptures around town. Lots of parks and greenways to break up the concrete. Lots of street trees also. This sculpture starts up on the hill and features cowboys rounding these doggies up to go to market. You can almost feel the movement.
The cattle at the bottom of the drive -- the schol children were enjoying moving all around the sculpture. Very impressive
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Exhibit was in full spring bloom. They have different species blooming all year long. Very enjoyable to see the flowers up close that you see zooming along the highway.
The ever present Texas Bluebonnets. They blanket the freeways, fields, planters, and roadways. What a great time of year to see the Texas Hill Country!
OK, you probably know that Phil has been taking these stadium pictures everywhere we go. The is UT-Austin. We have been using the 35mm for these shots, but something is amiss with it, so I made him use this camera til we figure it out!
This stadium seats about 75,000 fans. Not as big as some, but good sized. Located right in the middle of town and on a large campus.
THIS place is a trip! It has fallen right out of the 60's! Luckenbach, TX -- of Willie Nelson fame. These pictures encompass the entire town!
The bar and dance hall are the big (and only) attractions! The bar goes outside....
   ....and inside!
Some Harley weekend riders added to the ambiance of the place -- they fit right in! The canopy of old oaks really made it feel cozy and fun. Bet there are some wild dances here....
 more to come....
