After suffering severe back spasms on the first two legs of the Milford Track it was certain I could not complete the last leg in spite of warm weather, a fine trail and minimal elevation change. Instead I took the pack helo out from Quintin Lodge covering the 13 miles to Mitre Peak Lodge in less than 13 minutes. I missed a beautiful day as the photo's below attest.
