The Year 2002 was indeed and interesting year.

Spring 2002 (and the tail end of winter).

There were of course ski trips  along with soccer and baseball.  Below is a picture that indicates some
of the danger of being a soccer coach (of a bunch of girls).  Somehow Kerry let then convince
him to spray paint his beard red, white and blue at a tournament.   The girls played exceptionally well,
that day and somehow it just seems to always get spray painted at tournaments.  (click the image to get a
better view of those colors.

In the  Summer of 2002  we had an extended visit by Bob the Turtle, the kids were in summer camp where one of the highlights
was the horse back riding,  there were trips to Six Flags Great Adventure (even though some of these were in the Spring,
and of  course Fright Fest in the Fall),  a few visits to the Jersey Shore, Climbing (of course that also went into the Fall), dive trips, softball,
a visit to Ohio to visit Nancy (Becky's sister) and the new baby, and of course our annual trek to Disney/Orlando
in late August.

Fall 2002 was highlighted with Travel soccer and Fall Baseball.   Tommy had the chance to pitch several times during the Fall season and did quite well.
There were of course the Fall Foliage, hikes, and heading into the NYC to see The Lion King on Broadway.  Also, we had a very nice visit from one
our very dear old friends, Jorge, late last Fall, and there's a picture of Jorge, Becky and the kids.,

Also, we went several times to the Fright Fest (at Six Flags) during the Fall.  Below is a picture of Tommy and his Dad in the front row
of Nitro.  Just click it, to see a larger image.  There is a funny story associated with this particular picture, ...... at least I think its funny.
After Tommy and Dad finished the ride, they were in the line/mob waiting to look at the picture.  There were a two young couples
ahead of us and when the picture popped on the screen one the guys ahead of us started yelling and asking the folks if he could
buy someone else's picture!! His girl friend kept asking him "What??"   He said look at this COOL guy with his arms in casts and
still riding in the front row!!!  He was pointing at our picture.  I was behind him and asked him .... "That's a pretty cool picture isn't it?"
He didn't recognize us as the ones the picture and kept going on about the guy with the casts and how he wanted to buy that picture.
Finally I tapped him on the shoulder again and told him that they weren't casts, but just poly-pro long sleeves that had thumb holes in
them, and I just giving the ole UT hook 'em horns.   His companions started howling, and he then just slumped down and scurried
off without saying another word, and without buying our picture!!!   OK, OK ... at least Tommy thought it was funny.

Winter 2002  - So far the truly unique aspect is that we finally had a WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!!
