Diving 2005
All of Kerry's diving this past year was with his dive club MUD
(Metuchen Underwater Divers). As it turns out it ended up being
a very, very good year for MUD. We essentially filled every
charter, and on most of them we could have put extra divers on them
if there had been room. One of the highlights of the dive season
was the trip to Canada to dive the St. Lawrence Seaway. Four
Mudders made the trip (Kerry, Gary Meier, Al Castellano, and Chris
Bain). This was a great trip, highlighted by the now
infamous
cornfield
dive!! Click on the link to "hear" about the tale
of the cornfield (and the rest of the St. Lawrence trip).

The upper left picture shows three MUDDERS (Mike and Gary) on the Blue
Fathom with the lobsters that came up that day. The picture to the
right was taken on the St. Lawrence trip and shows Kerry, Gary, Al and
Chris.
Below is a shot of the Boldt Castle (in the St. Lawrence Seaway), and
the lower right picture was taken of Kerry while diving the
"Vickery" during the St. Lawrence trip.

Once again, the MUD annual picnic was a big success. The Bains'
pool work was completed so we had it at Chez Bain.
The first shot shows a couple of the kids in the pool (that's
Tom's head, and Kari is making the splash after diving off the diving
board). The lower right shot shows Don trying to balance on a
floating football after leaping off the diving board. Rumor
has it that he got almost as wet as he did in his old dry suit!!

Below we see Chris "yes I have a lobster on my head" Bain manning the
grill at the picnic.

In addition, our annual bottle dive was a big success as the below
pictures indicate.
