LED EMERGENCY LIGHT

These little lights are great for in the house, in your car, truck, van, or camper, and keep one or more in your "go kit" for emergencies. Or use them for those night time trips to the bathroom. Or they make great romantic lighting for anytime. Unlike candles, they will not cause a fire if they are knocked over. Unlike traditional flashlights, they will last longer and give you more light, plus you can sit them anywhere ... on a shelf, table, floor, etc.

One dark night when the power goes off what will you do ... search for the flashlight? You know you have one somewhere, but where?  How are the batteries?  Usually, a flashlight is a place to store batteries until they go dead. Even with new batteries in the flashlight, they are only good for a couple of hours at best.  Nine volt batteries have a much longer shelf life.

Unless you see the amount of light the modern LED's will produce, you probably won't believe it.  In the photo above we held a flashlight and one of our LED lights the same distance from the wall (about 8 ft.).  You can see the beam from the flashlight on the left and our LED light on the right.  The light produced with the 2 - 130,000 mcd LEDs (260,000 mcd) used in our light outshines a standard flashlight by a VERY wide margin.

We have tested our small emergency lights, and even with a cheap 9 volt heavy duty battery, it will burn for over 120 hours (5 days) non-stop.
Consider this ...  winter storms often knock out power, sometimes for days. From the time it gets dark in the house, (not counting sleep time) you may only need light for 4 to 5 hours. This would give you approximately 22 days of light, with one inexpensive 9 volt heavy duty battery (longer with an alkaline battery).  And then all you have to do is replace the battery and you're good for another 22 days or more.

Drop a flashlight, and chances are high that the bulb will be ruined.... drop our unit, and it keeps on burning brightly.  Lifespan of LEDs of this type is about 20,000 burn hours.  Our light unit simply clips to the contacts of the battery.... no on/off switch needed, which keeps the price to where the light is more than affordable for anyone.

If you'd like to be able to turn it off without disconnecting it totally from the battery, just clip it to one contact of the battery and rotate the battery connection until it touches the other battery contact to make it light.  Then rotate it away from the second contact to turn it off.  No switches to go bad.

The base of the LED light is made out of wood to last long (no plastic that can crack here).  You just add a 9 volt battery and you have light.
