Last Update: September 6, 2008 (new g4z4.zip)
Here are the technical drawings which describe the Goat4. These drawings can be viewed here online or downloaded from the menu below (as 82 drawing files in a Zip folder). Drawings ( in downloadable Zip folders) for Goat1,Goat2, Goat3, and Bug4 are also available at the bottom of the page.

The drawings provided for online viewing are posted on Web pages in a rastor format (bitmap) which are included in the download Zip file, but these drawings will be inferior to the Autocad (vector format) versions which are also in the Zip file. These Zip file drawings, in "Drawing Exchange Format" (AutoCAD ".dxf" format), offer much better resolution than the viewable bitmaps and should be preferred for any critical examination of the drawings. Also, a CAD program can use the Autocad files as a starting point (template) for making new drawings or as a source of components (the individual nuts and bolts can be taken out of the Autocad drawings and used elsewhere).
To view and print the downloaded ".dxf" files, you can use viewer/printer utility software, such as the free e-drawings viewer, or any CAD program (TurboCad Learning Edition is free, although no longer supported at the Turbocad Website). (Using the e-drawings viewer, try changing the paper color to light brown for best monitor viewing. The paper print will have a white paper background and the colors will be as intended.)
The current Goat4 drawing download file is a zip folder (compressed file) "g4z3.zip" which contains 82 drawings and a "Readme" text file.. Updated Zip files will have file names with higher numbers (for example, g2z2.zip was replaced by g2z3.zip) when they are posted. Drawing changes will be evident by a later date on the revised drawing (always check the web viewable drawing to make sure you have the latest version when taking a close look at something). When important, drawing changes will be listed here as "revisions", as long as this page is maintained.
Revision Nunber 1: Drawings g4w2, g4w6, g4s1, & g4s3 were revised to show an updated compression strut attachment. This is included in the download file, g4z3.zip, and is also shown on the web viewable drawings as of July 27, 2007.
You may still download the Goat1 drawings, g1z7.zip, Goat2 drawings, g2z2.zip, Goat3 drawings, g3z2.zip, or Bug4 drawings, b4z4.zip (get'em while you can, they won't be here forever).
