NOTE: Each entry has a suggested "POST IT..." location at the end. We recommend that you print out the ezine, cut out each entry, & post it in these locations to make it easier for you to find when you need it. And if you like what you read, be sure to pass it on to someone else who can use it. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * "Passion of the Christ" SiteNo matter what your religious beliefs may be, I'm sure you will agree that this movie has generated a LOT of press and discussion. If you would like to read more about it, then I'd recommend a fan site that I feel is more comprehensive than the official site. You can even click on various languages to read the material in. Go to... http://www.passion-movie.com/ The movie starts on Wed. the 25th, because it is the first day of Lent, a traditional time of preparing for Easter. If you'd like to be SURE that you will have tickets to a particular showing, if you decide to see it, then check out our back issue section for a web site to get those tickets ahead of time. POST IT...on your computer and calendar. * * * * * * * Red Hat LadiesYou may have been in a restaurant somewhere, seen a group of older ladies come in with red hats and purple outfits, and wondered what was going on. No need to wonder anymore. The Red Hat Society is based on a famous poem about ladies getting older that says IN PART... "WARNING When I am an old woman I shall wear purple With a red hat which doesn't go and doesn't suit me.... But maybe I ought to practice a little now? So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple." Then there was a novel written about a group of friends who got together and wore purple dresses and red hats and supported each other in friendship. So apparently a growing number of ladies (even in other countries) have begun some Red Hat Society chapters where they get together to eat or do various activities, always wearing red hats and purple, and keeping that all important sense of humor. Some chapters limit membership to ladies 50 yrs old or older, and some also try to keep their groups to a certain small number of ladies. For more info, go to... http://www.redhatsociety.com/ At the site you can do a "Chapter Search" (top of the page) to find a chapter in your area, even in other countries. If your mother or grandmother is a member, then check out the "Go Shopping" section before Mother's Day. POST IT...on your computer. * * * * * * * Stairs and PhonesYou see, and hear about it, over and over again. Someone, usually elderly (their bones tend to be more brittle), falls down some stairs and it takes several hours, or sometimes even days, before they are able to get help. If you live alone, or know someone that does, set up either a cordless phone or cell phone, IN THE CHARGERS, near the bottom of any stairs in the home. You can either get long cords to connect with an existing jack, or have a new jack installed (the cost is worth the safety benefits). If you live alone, you should also consider having someone make a quick call to you about the time you finish with a shower/bath, and maybe 12 hours before or after that. POST IT...on your shopping list. * * * * * * * Out of Town Body ShopsOkay, statistically, most auto accidents occur within a 2 mile radius of your home. BUT, there will be those times when you are traveling and need a body shop in a town you aren't familiar with. Here are some tips for picking a good shop if you find yourself in that situation. First, contact your insurance company; many companies have "direct repair" agreements with certain shops (the insurance company pays the body shop directly). Most shops that operate like this have been thoroughly checked out. Check to see if they are a member of the FIX Auto Association. This organization has an extensive screening process before they allow body shops to join. You can go to their site at... http://www.fixauto.com/fixworld/# Click on the center icon, and then click on whether you want to go to the English or French site. Info is available on body shops in the USA, Canada, and France. They either have numbers you can call to get info on shops in your area, or you can use the shop locator for the USA shops. If you don't have computer access (check the local library), you can call them 24 hours a day at 1-800-INFO-FIX (1-800-463-6349). If there are no direct repair or FIX Auto shops in the area, then check with the locals (police officers, fire fighters, churches, waitress, etc) and ask where they would recommend. Check any potential places out with the local Better Business Bureau (see local business pages) or at www.bbb.org It also wouldn't hurt to have your local body shop check out the work on your return home. POST IT...in your glove compartment. * * * * * * * Recipe: Broccoli Pasta SaladMix together the following: 1C small broccoli flowerets, 1 1/4C cooked pasta (shell or bowtie works well), 1/2C raisins (soak in warm water until plump before mixing in), 1/3 C chopped red onion. In a separate bowl, mix 1/3C mayonnaise, 1 tblsp vinegar, 1/2 tsp sugar. Pour dressing over salad and mix well. Sprinkle with bacon bits just before serving. POST IT...in your recipe box, and shopping list. * * * * * * * Back Issue Treasure: August 20th, 2003 IssueThis back issue recommendation comes out of our recent past, but I thought a reminder on getting movie tickets before you hit the theatre would be timely. Check out the article about the Fandango service to purchase movies ahead of time for only $1 extra a ticket. Read up on ways to stop children from making whining a habit. Easter and Mother's Day are coming up, check out the article on buying candy online that is sugar-free and/or low-carb. If you're not into the low carb thing, then check out an easy, but elegant dessert to make in our recipe section. Find some ideas on how to tame those frizzy hairs too, maybe one you haven't tried before. Since the article was written, I have also had great success with the Nioxin Smoothly Defined styling aid (see our Jan. 21st, 2004 issue or go to www.nioxin.com). To retrieve this back issue click HERE. POST IT...by your computer. * * * * * * * Missing Child Info: Alec JaksAlec Jaks (10 yr old, white male, brown hair/eyes, 5'1", 115 lbs) was

EDITOR'S NOTE: Some of you have tried to access files of children featured in past issues without success. This usually means the children were found and the files were removed. Final WordsJOKEA minister waited in line to have his car filled with gas just before a long
holiday week- end. The attendant worked quickly, but there were many cars ahead
of him in front of the service station. Finally, the attendant motioned him
toward a vacant pump. "Reverend, said the young man, "sorry about the delay. It
seems as if everyone waits until the last minute to get ready for a long trip";
The minister chuckled, " I know what you mean. "It's the same in my business."
