K98k Pictures Page 1 Below are some pictures of my new Yugoslavian-rearsenaled K98k rifle. The blueing on the rifle is excellent... the finish remains at at least 97%, with wear on only the normal places...the muzzle, bottom of the trigger guard loop, and the top of the safety. The stock does have it's share of dents and dings from the last 50-something years, but a lot of them should steam out fairly easily. I will also "sweat" the cosmoline out of the stock by heating the stock with a heat lamp. This keeps any harsh chemicals away from the wood and the laminating glue that was used to hold the layers together. The strongest chemical that I'll use will be mineral spirits to wipe away the cosmoline.
