|||
|
Create a timeline and note on the timeline at least 8 ancient cultures. Choose one to report on. Begin collecting materials for report. |

Read Skara Brae |
|||
|
Simulate a dig. Using some container at least 3feet by 4 feet fill with sand, create a grid, have someone hide artifacts in the sand and then document where each artifact was found. The bigger the space, the better this project is. |

|
Visit Russell Caves and ask one of the park rangers there do an archaeology demonstration. Calling ahead is polite. |
|||
|
Using a state map, locate and label major archaeological sites. Visit at least two of them. Make a list of questions to ask a ahead of the trip. |
|||
|
Pick an artifact that interests you and find how it was made. Try to recreate that artifact. |
|||
|
Looking at a collection of artifacts try to figure out how each one was used. |

List different methods of dating |

Demonstrate to others tree ring dating and magnetic dating |
