Mariko is Kasei's sister, and the daugher of one of Byakko, one of the most respected preistesses of Inari. Unwilling to join the preisthood, Mariko left for Jade in search of adventure. In due course she used her shape changing abilities to develope severall identities. In one identity she was rescued from bandits by Julia Diggers, and became on of her pubals. After studying under Julia, Mariko snuck back to the Retreat for a while, and secretly trained her baby brother. On her return to Jade, Mariko determined to learn as many styles of fighting as she possibly could.
Abilities:
Mariko is a weapons mistress par excellance. She
can use almost any weapon with skill and finess. Mariko is not good enough
to be one of the ten (the greatest weapons masters of Jade) but will have
a good chance of becoming one, if her impulsive spirit doesn't get her
in too much trouble before then. Over the years Mariko has become an impressive
actress, a passable musican and singer, and an excellent teacher.
