Kasei is a member of the Eastern Guard. He was trained to be an expert in the staff by his sister Mariko. A few years ago he was sent on a spying mission for the Edge Guard. He managed to become a member of the palace guard of a kingdom that the Edge Guard saw as a threat to the Retreat. During this time he developed a fondness for the king youngest daughter. Although she was too young for romantic inclinations her wit and kindness impressed the young kitsune. While in fox form, Kasei accidentally overheard a plan to kidnap the princess. He rushed to her rescue. In the resulting battle Kasei blew his cover, and lost his tail. The elders were not pleased when he returned home to recuperate. In time however, his tail grew back bringing another tail with it (an even unheard of for a kitsune less that a hundred years of age). It was a sure sign that Inari (the god of kitsune) was pleased with him. Unable to punish him for an action clearly sanctioned by their god, the elders have been giving Kasei various missions to keep him out of the way. He is currently on Jade looking for his sister.
Abilities:
Kasei is a master of the staff, and has earned the right to one of the ten blessed
staffs of Inari. He is a good martial artist, and passable with a katana. Kasei is a skilled herbalist and healer, a fine cook, and a noteworthy gardener.
