Professional Experience

Arthur Andersen LLP, January 1994 – October 2002, Experienced Senior, Chicago, IL

Client Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
·         Designed and implemented a collaboration solution, based on Lotus QuickPlace, to provide file sharing, discussions, calendaring and project management tools in a secure web-based environment for over 1,000 Andersen engagement teams worldwide, allowing over 10,000 people to collaborate anywhere they found an Internet connection.
·         Personally conducted and supported the technology pilot.

Instant Messaging and On-line Meetings
·         Developed on-line meeting strategy that was projected to reduce corporate world-wide travel costs by $300 million.
·         Launched a global instant messaging platform using Lotus Sametime that supported over 2,000 concurrent instant messaging users, providing awareness of who-is-online and the ability to send text messages.

Webcasting and Streaming Media
·         Directed the design and evolution of a Microsoft-based webcasting server architecture used to provide audio/video over the Internet for corporate communications and training.
·         Supported the successful delivery of the first-ever Andersen webcast, 36 hours of continuously changing content for over 10,000 people.

IT Vendor Relationship Management
·         Served as liaison between Andersen and IBM Lotus, resolving critical technology issues.
·         Facilitated relationships with Yahoo!, Symantec, DYS Analytics and Stampede.

Lotus Notes and Domino
·         Administered servers, piloted new features, developed Notes applications, created technical documentation and training, and supported upgrades to the environment of more than 900 servers serving 85,000 global users.  
·         Developed complex applications for Lotus Notes and Domino, importing external data from other database systems for use in Lotus Domino directories and applications.
