On 2 Feb 1736/1737 when Samuel was 19, he first married Elizabeth Gilson, daughter of Joseph Gilson (ca1692-1760) & Mary Shed (ca1694-), in Groton, Mass. Born on 11 Feb 1720 in Groton, Mass. Elizabeth died in Groton, Mass bef 1759; she was 38.

28. William Kemp. Born on 20 Apr 1718 in Groton, Mass. William died in Groton, Mass in 1754; he was 35.

On 11 Nov 1740 when William was 22, he married Patience Nutting, daughter of Eleazer Nutting (ca1698-1791) & Abigail Davis (1699-1792), in Groton, Mass. Born on 2 Aug 1722 in Groton, Mass. Patience died in Townsend, Mass aft 1784; she was 61.

29. Susanna Kemp. Born on 14 May 1720 in Groton, Mass. Susanna died in Groton, Mass on 19 Oct 1753; she was 33.

On 30 Mar 1736 when Susanna was 15, she married William Parker, son of Isaac Parker (ca1680-1762) & Ruth Blood (ca1683-1759), in Groton, Mass. Born on 19 Aug 1710 in Groton, Mass. William died in Groton, Mass on 1 Feb 1761; he was 50.

The Kemp Genealogy (Ref #34) says William Parker, b. 4 Nov 1716, son of Nathaniel & Lydia (Nutting) Parker. (My file #1538 ) This William removed to Shrewsbury and his history is not known.

32. Ebeneezer Kemp. Born in Apr 1729 in Groton, Mass. Ebeneezer died in Groton, Mass on 30 Mar 1770; he was 40.

Minuteman in Captain Henry Farwell's Company, in Col. William Prescott's Regiment of the 10th Continental Army. This Regiment marched from Groton 19 Apr 1775 for Cambridge. He fought at Bunker Hill, 17 Jun 1775. He was taken prisoner and carried off to Halifax, NS, from where he escaped but was recaptured and held prisoner until 1776. He continued in service during the winter of 1777/8.

On 31 Oct 1749 when Ebeneezer was 20, he married Mary Bradstreet, daughter of Dudley Bradstreet (1707-) & Abigail Lakin (1704-), in Westford, Mass. Born on 7 Aug 1730 in Groton, Mass. Mary died in Gorham, Maine aft 1820; she was 89.
