Samuel, Jr., is believed to have married Susannah Lawrence, according to Torrey's "New England Marriages Before 1700". There has not been found any other documentation to support this fact. However, Samuel and Susannah did sign a deed in Charlestown in 1707.

ca 1683/1690 when Samuel was 20, he married Susanna Lawrence, daughter of John Lawrence (1609-1667) & Susanna Batcheler (-1668), in Groton, Mass. Born on 3 Jul 1667 in Groton, Mass. Susanna died in Charlestown, Mass aft 1707; she was 39.

3. Abigail Kemp. Born on 27 Mar 1665 in Billerica, Mass. Abigail died in Groton, Mass aft 1695; she was 29.

On 20 Dec 1686 when Abigail was 21, she married James Blood, son of Richard Blood (1617-1683) & Isabel Wilkinson (1618-1706), in Watertown, Mass. Born in 1646 in Lynn, Mass. James died in Groton, Mass on 13 Sep 1692; he was 46.

4. Jonathan Kemp. Born on 6 Apr 1668 in Groton, Mass. Jonathan died in Billerica, Mass ca 1753; he was 84.

Numerous older references state that Jonathan married Mary Gilson, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Cooper) Gilson. Concord, Mass, records show that Mary Gilson married Nathaniel Gates on 17 Oct 1700, and bore him 6 children.

In 1698 when Jonathan was 29, he married Mary ??, in Groton, Mass.
