The Kemp Family Association has been researching the numerous Kemp families in New England for the past five years. The goal is to compile a comprehensive genealogy of all Kemp's originating in the New England states before 1850.
Attaining that goal has been a major task. Thusfar, over 25,000 names have been gathered into the master database. As each line has been investigated, there have appeared several immigrant ancestors. Each of these ancestral lines will be shown in detail.

No sources or documantation have been included with these register style reports. To have included all of them would have been a logistical nightmare - and would have made this web page too large to manage properly.
However, sources and documentation are available from the web page author.

Every effort has been made to verify each item in these reports. However, a large number of sources are to be considered secondary, at best. The web page author makes no claim to the accuracy of the information presented. You are encouraged to scrutinize each fact for yourself.

The author wishes to know of any additions or corrections to these reports. Attaining the goal of a comprehensive genealogy can only be realized by cooperation.

If you are researching Kemp families from outside of New England, you may wish to visit the Kemp Family Association. I am unable to provide information or research on Kemp's from outside of New England unless their roots point back to those states.

Included with the research done on the New England Kemp's is a complete accounting of all Kemp's who were listed as Heads of Household in the 1790 Federal Census. It provides an interesting insight into the Kemp's and their migration from the Groton area.
