Nashville's lone goal came from Jordan Tootoo with assists from Hartnell and Klein. The Blues had goals from Whitfield and Stempniak, both of those coming on the powerplay. Nashville goaltenders Finley and Mason faced 21 shots, turning aside 19. Former Blades goaltender Patrick Lalime faced 29 shots, making 28 saves. The announced attendance for the exhibition game was 12,686. This game was the second time the two teams had faced off in Kansas City.
