![[Family Genealogy]](famgen.gif)

I have some really great pictures a cousin sent of the Milton Wise Lounsbury's family Ice business. These date back to the early 1900s here in Peekskill, NY. It was called the Lounsbury & Sons Company. The pictures depict the ice wagon that delivered the ice to the residents here in Peekskill (I don't know who the gentlemen are beside the wagon, could be employees). One is of the ice houses on Lounsbury's pond (which is now part of the Blue Mtn Reservation, a Westchester County Park, here in Peekskill). Another is an engine which may have been used for the ice or cutting the wood. Supposedly the fourth picture is of the Lounsbury brothers (there were 5 at one time) my grandfather being one of them.
The names of the 5 sons of Milton Wise Lounsbury are
Edward,
William,
Charles,
Frank,
and
Byran Lounsbury.

| A note to our "purists":
I couldn't resist colorizing the monotone old photos. It is such fun! They look so much better. Copies of the untouched originals are available on request Susan
