PROBLEMS SOLVED BY SOUL WINNING
Introduction:
1. There is an urgent need for members of God's family to become
"Soul Winners."
2. We all need to become conscious of the realization that souls
all about us are lost.
3. A world obsessed by the flesh; Living to eat, drink and be
merry. LIVE IT UP!!! Philosophy of the Rich Fool.
4. Heading toward an Eternal Hell, cast from the presence of
Jehovah God, with no escape, forever and forever.
5. John 4:35 -- "Lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that
they are white unto harvest."
6. Christ sent the apostles to "Go ye into all the world and
preach the gospel..."
7. Acts 8:4 -- "They that were scattered abroad went about
preaching the word." The early disciples WENT FORTH.
8. Perhaps one of the greatest problem facing the church today is
the need to arouse the membership to become SOUL WINNERS. So
many are so unconcerned.
9. There are many problems facing us that would be solved
immediately if each member of the church would become a SOUL
WINNER for Christ Jesus.
PROBLEMS SOLVED BY SOUL WINNING:
1. GROWTH -- Often the questions is asked, "Why are we not
baptizing more?" "Why are we not growing numerically?"
There would be no problem here when members become SOUL
CONSCIOUS.
2. PRAYER -- A concerned member prays.
Rom 10:1-4 -- Paul's concern for the Jews.
If you are seeking the salvation of some individual, you
will spend time talking to God about it.
3. ATTENDANCE -- There will be no need to plead for members to
attend every service when they are soul winners.
The soul winner will eagerly seek every opportunity to
learn more of God's will; gain more strength.
They will be present for every service, for who knows,
the very person they have been interested in may show up
for some of the worship periods. How embarrassing it would
be for your friend to visit and you not be here!!!
4. SUPER CRITIC:
When we become soul conscious we will not concern ourselves
with the mistakes of our fellow man.
We will be concerned about other's soul salvation.
Not to suggest that we shall excuse sin or overlook it.
But, we will become a little more understanding.
5. LACK OF STUDY:
Since one cannot teach what he/she does not know, if we are
seeking to teach others, we will study.
Will use every opportunity to gain assistance -- TO LEARN
MORE. To gain more information.
It does not take much knowledge to be a bench warmer; a
Sunday morning member, one hour a week member.
2 Tim. 2:15 -- "Study to show thyself approved....."
6. LACK OF LOVE:
There will a great fondness between those who are soul
winners. A close attachment to those seeking to be
taught. When we truly grasp the realization that we
are dealing with the eternal salvation of another, we
will be overwhelmed with concern and love.
John 3:16 -- How urgent that we remember daily the love of
God for us. We too, must show that kind of love.
7. THUS, CHURCH FUSSES:
No time for petty problems and hurt feelings when each
member is striving to save another. There is just
something more important than having our own way.
8. UNGODLINESS IN THE LIVES OF CHRISTIANS:
A soul winner will realize the importance of living a good
example.
He/She will do nothing to discourage another from following
their path.
Matt. 5:14 -- Ye are the light of the world.
There is NO QUESTIONABLE PRACTICE in the life of a true
soul winner. They will not attempt to justify some
questionable practice. They know that the world is
watching, so how careful they must be.
No hit and miss attitude; living true to their confession.
9. GOSSIP:
No place for a loose tongue in the life of a soul winner.
Too concerned about saving others, rather than tearing down
Col. 4:6 -- "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned
with salt,..."
Eph. 4:29-32 --
Jas. 3:6 -- The tongue
1 Tim. 5:11 -- Paul's admonition concerning young widows.
10. SHIFTING RESPONSIBILITIES:
The soul winner will accept his/her responsibility.
No desire to let someone else do MY WORK!!
Will not blame failures upon someone else.
11. SHORTAGE OF REAPERS (WORKERS):
No need to plead for people to work when they are soul
winners
Will not need to plead for Bible class teachers, or someone
to do the work, when all are soul winners.
12. GIVING PROBLEMS:
Will be no need to plead for members to give as prospered.
They will want to meet their obligations when concerned.
There continue to be many pleas for assistance from those
who are willing to go and preach.
Souls to be saved, brethren to be helped;
One who is soul conscience will give bountifully, freely.
13. EGO PROBLEMS AMONG MEMBERS:
No big "I" and little "you" when we are soul winners.
No place for "what I want."
All are seeking same results, saving souls.
14. BOREDOM:
"Nothing to do" would dissolve.
There is always someone who needs our attention.
CONCLUSION:
1. And so many more......
2. The BIG NEED AMONG BRETHREN!!! Become soul conscious!!!!
3. Souls around us dying daily without the Lord. What am I doing
to attempt to reach them???
4. What about your soul?? At this point in time???
5. Is it right with God? If not, why not. It can be, you know.
