If you don't want to know more about me, check out my  pages.... Graphics or click on the (1) (2) (3) (4) above to navigate around my graphics pages.

It has been two years since I have updated this page and a few things have changed. Now I use both Paint Shop Pro (PSP) and Photo Shop (PS) to make my images. I love both programs. They each have their strengths and weaknesses.

You may be wondering why many of my pages have large "blank" areas on y wall papers/images. This was done on purpose for two reasons. First these wallpapers were created to be used on a computer as a desktop. I am allowing an area for the work icons to be placed and still allow the primary image to be visible. The second reason is personal taste. I like clean simple images (maybe that is a sign of a simple mind <g>)

That  does not mean that I don't appreciate more complex images. You can see some beautiful complex images on most of the XWP wallpaper links . I enjoy  them as well. When I am creating, I see the image simple and clean. I am a graphic artist but, I don't make a full time living at it yet. I continue to improve my skills by doing the exercises and challenges that are posted on the various sites. I would like to encourage anyone who enjoys graphics to find a topic and a group of individuals that have similar interests and practice.

You might also notice that I seldom put text on my walls. I always start my images with the goal that the image will say it all. I only add text if it adds something that I could not achieve with graphics only. Most artist use some nice font to write their name, intials, or logo. You might notice the Japanese characters on the right side of this page, that is the signature I use on my art. I am not Japanese or of oriental desent. If you know anything about how Japanese is written, you know that when you read a book, page 1 is on the right side of the book when you open it and the last page is on the left side (where you start reading books in the West). They also read the characters top to bottom and right to left. So my signature is my personal reminder to not do my art like everyone else but try something different. I think that is what you will find on my pages.

I discovered the Xena Warrior Princess in the fall of 2001. The humor hooked me into the show. Because I wanted to find out more I did a search on the web and found the wonderful newsgroup ABMX-H. Their work motivated me to dust off the copy of Paint Shop Pro 6. Over the next year I learned how to use PSP. About 2 years later I started to learn how to use PS7  What you see here is a result of this adventure. I rotate my walls in and out of the gallery. On average, a wall will be visible for 3 months before it is rotated out. Some walls last a little longer if I really like them and others have a shorter tour of duty if I don't. You get to see the good, bad, and ugly. In every image I try to learn something new.

You will also find on my links page, other XWP sites that also create graphics based on this same show. They are a creative, wonderful group of people. I would suggest that you check out their work.  They are an active and talented group. If the person has a web page, I have a link to their site below the calendar page.

I will never consider this site completed because I always will have something new to learn with PSP, PS and web design.
