344-5399 FAX MAILBOX POLICY The rules will immediately affect all mailboxes determined by the board to be in disrepair and need of replacement. 1) All mailboxes and/or parts must be ordered through Mel Northey Co., Inc. Contact Information: Address – 303 Gulf Bank,
Phone – 800-828-0302 Fax – 281-445-7456 Website – http://www.melnorthey.com/ 2) The standard mailbox and post for all homeowners is Model No. 5523A in black. 3) The placement of house numbers on mailboxes is mandatory on both sides of your mailbox. 4) Numbers placed on mailbox must be individual tiles for each number with a bone background and black numbers. The numbers are available at Home Depot by Santa Barbara Ceramic model number 0415945000X. 5) Identification of members of the household may be placed on the inside of the mailbox door but no names are allowed on the outside of the boxes. 6) It is the sole discretion of the Board of Directors to determine when a mailbox requires maintenance or replacement. 7) All mailboxes in disrepair must be replaced with Association approved model 5523A with no exceptions. 8) As per the Post Office guidelines for curbline delivery the following installation apply to all mailboxes: a. Post must be installed 18” from roadway. b. Bottom of mailbox should be (42-48”) from the ground. 9) The mailbox and mailbox post must be installed plum and level. 10) Should a mailbox require painting a homeowner may repaint their mailbox in glossy black ONLY. 11) All doors must be in mechanical working condition. If a mailbox door cannot be repaired, you may be required to replace the entire mailbox. 12) The association or its board members or management company makes no assumptions or guarantees on the quality, warranty of authorized mailbox and any contractors or supplier names are provided solely for the convenience of the members. No responsibility shall be borne by the association, or its management company for any actions of suggested suppliers, or listed installation contractors. Suppliers and contractors are offered for you choice and not mandatory. Upon motions duly made and unanimously accepted, this resolution is hereby passed this xxx day of xxx. BOARD OF DIRECTORS |
