St. Playton's Cemetery is located in a small glade on the east side of Danbury, not far from Germantown Road. It is secluded, and is now entirely surrounded by private property. The available records (newspaper obituaries & burial records) seem to indicate a couple hundred burials here, but only about 30 gravestones exist. The names suggest that this is the resting place of immigrants who came to Danbury in the 19th century to work in the mills.
