Miry Brook Cemetery

The Miry Brook Cemetery is located in the south part of Danbury, on Miry Brook Road, about 1 mile west of Route 7. It is directly next to the Children of Israel Cemetery, but is separated by a fieldstone wall. The cemetery is in fairly good condition, but the overall condition of the stones reveals the ravages of time.

There are 101 gravesites that have been identified. In this transcription, the following codes have been used in the last column:

I = The stone inscription is not legible to the naked eye. Inscriptions were verified using one of several enhancing techniques.
M = The stone existed in 1934, at the time of the Hale Collection readings, but cannot be located at this time.
B = The stone is broken into two or more fragments. All fragments may not be present in the cemetery.
T = The stone has toppled over and is lying on the ground. It may or may not be in multiple fragments.
