Long Ridge Cemetery

The Long Ridge Cemetery is located on Long Ridge Road in the far southern part of Danbury. It is between a house lot and a wooded lot, and is easily missed when driving by. The overall condition is fairly good, considering that there is no evidence of routine upkeep. This cemetery was most likely affiliated with the Long Ridge Methodist Church, which still exists about 1/4 mile south of the cemetery.

There are 20 gravesites that have been identified. In this transcription, the following codes have been used in the last column:

I = The stone inscription is not legible to the naked eye. Inscriptions were verified using one of several enhancing techniques.
M = The stone existed in 1934, at the time of the Hale Collection readings, but cannot be located at this time.
B = The stone is broken into two or more fragments. All fragments may not be present in the cemetery.
T = The stone has toppled over and is lying on the ground. It may or may not be in multiple fragments.
