Comes' Cemetery

The Comes' Cemetery is located at the intersection of Franklin Street and East King Street, next to the little red chapel building. It is hidden from view from the road. There is an old iron fence surrounding most of the cemetery, but it is in poor condition. There is little evidence of maintenance.

This cemetery was created for the family of Eliud Comes, who was also one of the major stone carvers in Danbury in the early 19th century. Throughout the city, his name can be found on the bases of dozens of stones.

There are 15 gravesites that have been identified. In this transcription, the following codes have been used in the last column:
