Crack Open Geodes
Geodes began to form millions of years ago when the earth's crust was still in a molten state.  Round gas pockets provided places for minerals to be deposited after the magma had cooled.  These rough-looking, round shaped rocks may have a hollow center with beautiful quartz deposits inside.  The only way to find out is to "crack it open".
