My Ferguson Lines

Please remember, this information is a work in progress and needs proving.
Do not take it as fact. I wrote notes next to the names about possible errors but there may be others. I put this work online not to publish it as fact but as a starting point for other researchers. In addition I put notes to myself in the information so you can see what I was thinking. All information on this page should be researched. Much came from other researchers who shared clues. I also compared censuses for each family and gathered grave information but again, the information is only a starting point.

I descend from William Ferguson and Kathryn Lemaster Ferguson as follows:

Richard Ferguson b. March 17, 1785, Magoffin Co KY, m. 1809, in Floyd Co KY, Nancy Jones. Richard died 12 Sep 1845. Nancy Jones b. 17 Mar 1790, SC. Their daughter Kathern (b. June 14, 1811) married John Pelfrey (John b. 1809). John and Kathern married 23 June 1828.

I descend from their son, Amos Pelfrey b. 23 Feb 1840, who married Elizabeth Lacy. Amos died 25 Mar 1910, Lacy Creek Pelfrey Cemetary. ( Elizabeth Lacy b. 1 Feb 1842, d. 20 Oct 1921, Lacy Creek Pelfrey Cemetary).
Amos and Elizabeth's daughter, Sarah, was my great-great-grandmother. Sarah Pelfrey b. 1862, d. 1888.

I also descend from William Ferguson and Kathryn Lemaster through their daughter, Phoebe Ferguson.
Phebe Ferguson b. 12 Feb 1791, Sandy Hook, d. 23 Sep 1852, Morgan Co KY. She married John Williams (b. 17 Nov 1789) on 21 Sep 1809, in Floyd Co KY
