Four Bars Up Front From Dave... I'm Dave Wild, owner/operator of this small snag in the World Wide Web, with a number of items of interest.
Music in these here parts is officially divided into "country" and "other", but the "other" includes some jazz--with performances by Dave Wild Trio, the S J Q (Swann Jazz Quartet), and the Temple Jazz Orchestra, with info on their current CD, pairing TJO with trombonist Bill Watrous. There's a separate site for the wildly eclectic ten-piece group Elephants . There's a page on my CD, Wild Sides . And there's a page with some performance listings for jazz in the central Texas area (including DW3, SJQ and a number of others). Finally, of course, we have the usual boring personal trivia. |

| The old 25Mb Homestead has been
open for some ten years now, and we keep making minor repairs when there's time after
the chores. Most recently we tweaked the prose, repainted the logo, and brought back
some updated jazz listings, more information, and other fresh produce from the grocery
store. We've also added a bunch of new pages, updated the navigation bar, and generally
straightened up the mess. We're not too fancy around these parts, but most visitors aren't
into bells and whistles anyway (reeds and percussion, that's another story). You can of course send me email . I've had to disable my Guest Book for a while, due to an idiot spammer who's posted stuff I can't yet delete--but send me emails with the subject Guest Book and eventually they'll get posted. (Here's a pre-spammer view of the Wildplace Guest Book). Aside from that minor issue, please, go ahead, feel free to wander around the place (just keep the refrigerator door closed).
